The Daily Practice That Eases Anxiety Instantly

Acknowledging Anxiety

Before jumping into the daily practice that helps soothe anxiety instantly, lets first come to terms with anxiety itself. The most common blanket definition of Anxiety:

…a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

Well, to some extend all of life is an uncertain outcome. Of course we establish values, routines and habits that help increase predictability of efforts and energy, but at the end of the day, no one can be 100% certain of the outcome of anything. Regardless, everyone experiences some varying amount of anxiety about a topic in their life at some point in time. This could be as small as deciding what to order for lunch with that meeting with your boss or showing up to a networking event where you don’t know anyone or preparing for your wedding day.

Regardless of the trigger for anxiety, it is important to acknowledge and accept your anxiety as it comes into your consciousness. Give it a name, say hello to it and allow it to just be.

Once you’ve fully received the anxiety in whatever form it may be in, you have the opportunity to harness that energy and transform it into whatever you want.

Guided Meditation Practice

Even 5 minutes of daily meditation can drastically reducing and improve the symptoms of anxiety. By taking your mind to a totally relaxed and restful state, it enables you to perform a ‘hard reset’ on your brain connections. Over time those anxiety triggers and symptoms will begin to show up less and be shorter lived. By dedicating 5-10 minutes or 20 if you’ve got it to a daily meditation practice you will reap the benefits of this high vibrational activity.
